on пятница, 2 июля 2010 г.

http://thegelady.blogspot.com/2008/07/blog-post_07.html

Maria,

I cannot hardly believe what I was seeing. There is a picture of my father as a young man. Also, two pictures of his younger brother,, Stephen. There is a pictue of me at age 10 with my family at a celebration for my brother's 13th birthday.

How are you related to Manuel? From what I remember, Manuel was always sending letters to his family in Russia. I never knew what part of Russia he was sending it to. He must of sent those pictures with the letters. Please explain the tree.

My brother Harvey is 61 years old and I am 58. Our father was Allen, who died in 1970 at the age of 41. My mother, Allen's wife and my mother, Elaine is 81 and still alive. My grandmother died when my children were young. I have two boys, Scott, 28, and Adam, 31. Adam lives in Los Angeles, CA and is in the movie business. Scott has a business nearby.

Looking forward to hearing from you, Robin Oxenfeldt Levenberg

hello cousin

I am Robin Levenberg's brother, Manuel's grandson, Allen's son and Stephen's nephew.
Manuel Oxenfeldt's cousin, Alfred Oxenfeldt's father brought Manuel over to the US, Alfred recently died (he was a professor at university), and has several children/grandchildren in the US, but I have not met them.

We knew that Manuel had a sister in Russia, with whom he would occassionally send packages and call on the telephone. What a surprise to see my photograph from my Bar Mitzvah (1961) on your site!

I currently live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with my wife of 34 years with whom we have 2 children. Our daughter Alissa Oxenfeldt is 33 years old and our son, Evan Oxenfeldt is 28.

We are very excited to hear from you and would love to find out more about our heritage.

This is the first time that I have seen my surname of "Oxenfeldt" spelled as "Axenfeld." Do you know anything about the change of the spelling and when/where that occured?

I had always been under the impression that Emanuel had come to the states from Romania. Do you know if this correct or have I been mistaken?

I look forward to hearing more from you and learning more about my past.

My email address is ..........

Best Wishes,

Harvey Oxenfeldt
